Last evening we went to dinner after golf and were totally surprised by a bunch of wonderful Pinewild women who had been working on this "Hug" quilt for over a month. It's so incredibly beautiful and it's a shame you can't read all of the kind thoughts these gals sewed into it. Even your humble correspondent got a little misty with this generous gesture.
As I write this, Gay is over at the Cancer Clinic starting the battle of her life. She is certainly ready for each and every skirmish in this war and we welcome all of your support. Look up "tough" in the dictionary. Gay's picture is there.
Gay's back and looking great. After dinner and a few minutes of berating me for numerous things (which I richly deserve) I realized that things are pretty close to normal around here. She's sleeping now and deserves every minute of rest. Now I'll try to get some too.

Gay,
I wish I was there to see your quilt! I bet you were so surprise to see it! What wonderful, kind and thoughtful friends you have! To be so love! Only my special sister could have all of these friends!
Rest as much as you can and my prayers are with you every day!
See you at Litchfield!!!
Love, Candy
Gay,
I can't sew worth a darn, so I'll just send you a hug. Hope you handle this chemo as well as you did the last time.
Love,

Gay,
From accross the fairway, I want to send my hand so that you can reach out to me anytime. As you may be aware, for many months I visited, hugged and shared many blessed moments with my brother as he fought this battle. What prayers, will, determination and love will do for you is amazing.
My heart is with you.

Now that I've read how to post 101 perhaps you will actually get to see this! Glad to hear it went well yesterday afternoon and the quilt was put to use. Have a wonderful time at the beach with your family...isn't that what it is all about! Will keep on praying.
Gay, You are an awesome lady. The "C" word is a nasty disease. So we all have faith in God and you to knock it out. You have touched so many segments of this community. This morning the 9-Hole Ladies will go play golf but not before we think about you and wish you well.

We're still fighting for you on our knees, Gay. We leave for Maine on Sun. If I think of it, I'll send you a lobster, as usual.
