Gay received the ninth in her series of chemo applications and this one was the tough one. She does really well with the taxol alone but has some difficulties with the zometa. She doesn't have any sickness issues but the stuff does a number on her energy level. The poor thing only played four rounds of golf this past week! Again the zometa is for her bones for you new blogsters out there.
We head over to Charlotte tomorrow to celebrate the ninth birthday of our youngest grand daughter Kali and we'll then leave from there and fly to Chicago. We have about a two hour ride to South Bend to watch the Irish take on good ole Michigan. I've always requested prayers for Gay and, if you have a few to spare, send some to Notre Dame. After last week's showing, they're really going to need them!

have a safe trip, enjoy the birthday celebration & go irish!
For you, and only you, I will cheer for Notre Dame. But please don't tell my daughter. After 35 years in Michigan, maize and blue can sometimes take a back seat. We will watch for you on tv and pray for your safe and successful trip. Carol Palmquist
our prayers are with Gay and N.D.
Go! N.D.

Gay,
It was so terrific to see you and Denny on Saturday. I'm not kidding, you look terrific. That "fight like a girl" stuff is really working for you. We are supposed to be supporting you, but you are an inspiration to all of us. Good luck with the last three. I know you'll deliver a TKO. Thanks for being a part of our "Tailgate Reception". Sorry about your "flower girl" dress.
Love, Emily & Jim
Dear Gay & Denny, happy to hear things continue to go so well. Who better deserves it! And, congrats on the ND win -- we're sure that's because Gay was there.
Love, Ed & Pat
